On October 7, come out to celebrate our Bombshell B-Day Blowout (See what we did there? With the pun? Blowout…*snicker). The Bombshell Building is turning 100 YEARS OLD! And the ol’ gal’s big birthday happens to fall the same year as our 5 yr anniversary of starting our mission to beautify Boise. So we decided we had better throw a big party and everyone is invited. We will have pictures and stories of the building’s history. The extravaganza schedule is as follows:
5-6:30 pm — Holy boots sale, Batman! Back by popular demand: our discount Frye boot sale (yes, you read that right). Come shop for your fall look with boots, scarves and vintage jewelry. We will be showcasing the Aveda Autumn/Winter makeup collection: Birds of Paradise. To celebrate how much we love our clients, anyone who decides the pre-order the entire collection gets 20% off! Featuring our favorite local cellist, Jake Saunders.
6:30-7:30 pm — Live music with Melissa Wilson and Bernie Reilly! Come enjoy some fantastic music on a Saturday night with a glass of wine or a beer and get your seats set up for our show. Then star of local Boise burlesque fame, Lilian Stardust will be there to help us wish Bombshell a happy birthday with a (PG/PG-13 rated performance) and we will have birthday cake.
8-10 pm — Outdoor movie! Our final star of the evening, Mr. Vincent Price will be making an appearance for our showing of House on A Haunted Hill. Bring your lawn chairs, jackets and blankets and grab a treat from Idaho Kettle Corn or a cup of warm apple cider to welcome the Halloween season while we share this horror(lite) classic film. A $8 suggested donation would be a welcome contribution as we raise funds for both people and animals displaced by recent hurricanes. Idaho Kettle Corn has graciously offered to contribute a portion of their sales to the fundraising efforts as well.
